My Top 5 Loves Kicking Off 2025

Top 5

New year, new obsessions! These are the five things I can’t stop loving right now—each bringing a little style, joy, or indulgence into my life.

1. Nils Ski Suit

I went to get the kids’ rentals and stumbled across a Charlie’s Angels dream—a Nils ski suit dripping in retro cool. I instantly pictured myself pizza-stopping down the bunny slopes, looking fabulous in Palmerton as if it were Switzerland. Rational me knows I already have perfectly good ski gear, so I’m deciding if this purchase would be just lust or if I should take a chance on true love.

2. Skinny Jeans

When the clock struck midnight and 2025 began, two thoughts hit me: 1) I’m so lucky to be alive and surrounded by love, and 2) I need a pair of skinny jeans. High-waisted, to be exact. Now I’m on the hunt—J.Crew, Reiss, Frame—and wondering why Spanx hasn’t nailed this yet.

3. Simplified Skincare Routine

Goodbye to 10-step routines, double cleansing, toners, serums, and the rest. These days, it’s all about Tretinoin, La Mer, and Dove Soap, with a cameo from Skinceuticals Vitamin C (because I’m not ready to let that one go). I’m thrilled to be getting the most from my skin while doing the least.

4. Jo Malone Poppy & Barley

I grabbed Poppy & Barley at duty-free and thought it was nice. Then I layered it over L’Occitane’s Rose or Cherry Blossom body lotion, and strangers started telling me I smelled clean, fresh, warm, and friendly. So, this is who I am as a scent in 2025. Consider this my signature scent declaration.

5. Mini Oreo Cookies

I admit I have a sugar addiction, but one bag of Mini Oreos? Not terrible. They’re perfectly bite-sized, satisfy my cravings without wrecking my calories, and the cream-to-cookie ratio is spot-on. Basically, the snack version of harm reduction—and hey, I’m about to be back in skinny jeans, so I’ll take it.

These are the things making 2025 feel exciting and fresh already. What’s on your obsession list this year?
